Ministry
Solutions
It has been said many times that money is the root of all evil.
We don't believe that. In fact, we believe that by empowering people to build
their own life of abundance through knowledge, confidence, and control great
things can happen. Because of that, goals of financial success and abundance can
and should be consistent with your religion and spiritual beliefs.
In Christian tradition, for instance, scripture parallels current conventions
touting personal financial strength, abundance, and intelligence:
Proverbs 27:12 A sensible man watches for problems ahead and prepares to
meet them. The simpleton never looks, and suffers the consequences.
Proverbs 21:20 The wise man saves for the future but the foolish man
spends whatever he gets.
In fact, the bible, contains about 500 verses on prayer and a little less than
500 verses on faith, yet over 2,350 verses that address in very practical,
specific ways how to earn, save, spend, invest and give money. Two-thirds of the
parables deal with money. The Bible has more to say about money than heaven and
hell combined, even more to say about money than salvation. The Bible has more
to say about money than any other subject except love.
Some of the
many benefits you will experience by incorporating a faith-based financial
education curriculum include:
Key Benefits
- Helping parishioners
understand their relationship with money; beliefs about scarcity and
abundance
- Teach that money,
abundance, and worldly success are not necessarily separate from their God's
will
- Strengthen the
community of which your ministry serves (did you know that money issues are
one of the leading factors on divorce rates?)
- Develop an
understanding of the law of attraction and how giving (tithing in all forms)
equates with receiving
- Creating better
family stewardship leads to better overall church stewardship - improving
the financial well being of your parishioners also improves the financial
well being of your church.
